Bampton Folk Club is an informal gathering of folkies learning, playing and singing anything that could be construed as folk music.  So whether it’s traditional English, Scottish, or Irish or seafaring or country dance tunes, contemporary offerings from the newer folk artists or real oldies…

…if it’s folk, it’s fair game!

It’s worth a mention that the BFC Sundays are a session rather than a singaround, the whole point of the Sunday Session is to play together for a few hours rather than sit waiting for your turn.

We meet weekly, every Sunday between 7:30pm and 11:00pm in The Barn @ The Morris Clown (map) for a few of hours of playing (there’s no obligation to be there for the full three and a half) . There are no membership fees or dues or obligations of any kind.

Bampton Folk Club welcomes everyone from seasoned and accomplished musicians to complete beginners and any instruments with the sole purpose of having a great time playing and learning music.  Get in touch via the contact page or simply come along any Sunday.

Also Bampton Folk Club now runs the “Tunes Tuesdays” sessions on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.  Aimed at building repertoire and confidence in melody players in a learning-focussed and steady-paced session.  Full details here.
